July-September

July

+We started the month out at the lake shore in Michigan with our family celebrating the 4th of July.

+We spent a ton of time in the pool this month. We took advantage of having the pool right in our backyard! And we also ate outside on the deck quite a lot as well

+I've said it before, but I did mostly baby lead weaning with Malachi and one of his favorites is green beans

+Malachi started CRAWLING on all fours this month!

+He had school pictures taken and I wasn't going to buy any and then I bought them all.

August

+Sweet brothers!

+Dominick had his last day of pre-k on August 4th! He changed so much in 1 year and really loved pre-k, but he was SO excited to start Kindergarten.

+Dominick went to Michigan for a week with my parents and his cousins and we got a lot of one on one time with baby brother.

+Gigi and Papa brought Dominick back and spent the weekend with us. We went hiking one day and had a lot of fun.

+Dominick and I spent a couple of special days together before kindergarten. One thing we did was go put-put golfing and it was really special to get to spend some quality time with him before he started school. It might have been the HOTTEST and most humid day of the summer, but we had a great time together and laughed a lot.

+August 17th is when Dominick started school. I had the hardest time on the night before, but he was beyond excited. I'll have a whole post about this coming up soon.

+Of course Malachi would come down with croup right after that.

September
+We had been looking forward to September for over a year! Dominick was turning FIVE and we were taking him to Disney World for his birthday. I have a couple posts coming up on this trip, but just know it was a memorable one that followed with another in November. We loved getting to celebrate our big guy and take little brother on his FIRST AIRPLANE RIDE!

+We had a lot of fun at the park enjoying the beautiful fall weather and playing in our big back yard

+The Popcorn  Festival in our town was a fun little event

+Between croup, strep throat and some other sicknesses going through our house late August/early September we were FINALLY able to celebrate D's birthday with friends. We had an end of summer party at our house and it was of course Star Wars themed. I decorated his cake and was really proud of myself. He had the best day.

+Dominick surprised us and chose to play flag football over fall soccer. He LOVED it and was surprisingly pretty good. It took him a few weeks to really get the concept. Once it clicked he did really great. We were so proud of him for trying something new and committing to play.

June

-This was the month of the pool! We spent a ton of time in the pool and LOVED it. Both boys enjoyed having the pool. Ryan and I realized it was a TON of work!

+Dominick and I made "homemade" pizza for an easy dinner one night.
he made his into a happy face and was so proud of it
+Kai started scooting around more. He's growing too  fast!

+Malachi slowly started solids this month with baby lead weaning. His first food was broccoli
-Dominick went to his first ever vacation bible school. It was different from some of the others and his age group was mostly arts and crafts. One of his art projects won best in show! We were so proud of him!

-Ryan turned 30 this June! I remember when 30 seemed so old and now, here we are!
+This is FOUR people who are STOKED that baseball season is over. I told y'all that it was the LONGEST season. We missed the all star game, but we didn't even care.

May

May was a busy, but fun and tough month! There was a lot of happenings and it really started to feel like Spring/Summer!

-Dominick started little league and Ryan and I  got crazy and volunteered to coach. He loved t-ball, but it was a VERY long season with horrible communication from the league. It was 3 days/nights a week for 2 hours. It was a big commitment for a 4 year old.
I just love seeing him in his little uniform. He loves t-ball, but it sure was a LONG season.

This little guy did great and was a great spectator the whole season.
-We met my parents in Ft Wayne again and went to someplace other than Chuck E. Cheese. It was a fun little spot and while similar, it was much cleaner.

-My lap is full, but my heart is fuller
-On Mother's Day we dedicated Malachi. It was my first as a momma to TWO and it was a really special day for our little family.

-We closed on our first house on the 17th of May! Still smiling after signing our lives away!
-On the 27th of May (also the same day we officially moved into our home) we decided to put our lab, Rocky down. It was a really hard decision, but he had a nerve problem with his back paws. He didn't have any feeling in them and it was causing him to fall down stairs and drag his feet until they would bleed uncontrollably. It was a really rough weekend.

-My parents came to help move us and they got to see Dominick in all of his soccer glory.

April

-We kicked off April with going to Ft Wayne to meet with my parents. Before we left Dominick and Ryan went to Home Depot for the Build and Grow. There were some special guests there this time.

Sweet baby before we left for Ft Wayne

Tired baby when we got home from Ft Wayne
-Dominick did soccer shots this month. He enjoyed it and is really actually quite good at soccer!

-Malachi was getting so big! He spent a lot of time in the sit me up seat this month and really loved being able to look all around.

-We celebrated Malachi's 1st Easter by coloring Easter Eggs and going to church

-We hade some really nice weather so I took Dominick and Malachi to the skate park. Dominick likes to ride his bike down the ramps and do tricks. It was getting close to when we had to leave and he wasn't very happy with me.
-These cute brothers. Dominick loved having Malachi snuggle in his bed before bedtime. Ryan was TDY so it was just me getting everyone ready for bed.
