Malachi,
This first month FLEW by. You are growing and changing every single day. You fit perfectly into our little family and we just cannot imagine life without you. The days go by so quickly and often seem to run together as we are still trying to find a routine, but I know this phase will be over before we know it so I'm just trying to enjoy the process.
You are quite the little lover and have always loved to be kissed on. You open your mouth really big and get a big smile. I just love it. You also love to be warm and cozy and you LOVE to snuggle. You just have such a sweet, sweet personality and are truly a good baby. We call you Sugar Bear because you're just sweet as pie.You love to be talked to and will try to coo back at us. I think you're going to be a chatty one. You rarely cry, but you do make tons of noises and are quite the grunter.

You spit up almost after every single feeding and seem to struggle with gas, but we are working through it. I'm not sure what causes it, but we do know that gripe water helps tremendously and settles you right down.
You didn't really care for bath time too much, but now that you're able to get completely wet you don't seem to mind as much. And you are also not a huge fan of your car seat. If we are moving you're mostly okay. With that being said you took your first road trip to Michigan this month and you did great in the car. We stopped half way to feed you.

Speaking of our Michigan trip you got to meet all of your cousins, aunts, uncles and a few great aunt and uncles. I know your Gigi and Papa loved the extra time You did great being away from home and we really enjoyed our trip. More to come in your 2 month post.
Dominick is quite smitten with you (we all are). He calls you cutie and will always ask to hug, kiss and see you. He doesn't like it when you cry. Before your umbilical cord fell off he would say you were "pooping out of your belly button" and just did not understand what was going on. He's been such a helper and is quite possibly the best big brother. I wasn't sure how he would react to you, but it's been than anything I could have ever imagined. He is SO proud of you. He will tell people I have a baby and his name is Malachi. I'm a big brother! Someone asked him if he liked you a little bit and he said no, I like him a lot! I look forward to watching your relationship grow with him.
Buddy, we are SO thankful for you and feel so lucky to be your momma and daddy. You have blessed our lives more than you'll ever know. We love that we get to spend our days with you and that we can call your ours. I look forward to watching you grow, but man am I sad that this first month has already come and gone. Never question our love for your because we love you BIG.

I love you to infinity and beyond,
Momma
