Dominick - 13 Months

+You know where your eyes, ears and nose are. You went through a phase where you only pointed to your eye and now it seems like you're only pointing to your nose, but when you "feel" like it you will do all of them.

+You stopped using a pacifier! Don't ask me how, but we did it!! I never thought the day would come. The 18th I forgot to give it to you when you went down at night time and you went down fine. I told Ms. Katie that you hadn't had one and that maybe this was our window. We never looked back. There was one day that she thought she was going to have to give it to you, but she didn't. You are doing so awesome and that's HUGE for us.

These bubbles are in almost all of the pictures. He would NOT let them go.

+You know the sounds of a lion (roooaaaaar), a dog (oof oof), a cow (moooo) and recently you started doing ooh ahh for monkey, but I'm not sure if you really know that one.

+You talk constantly and will go off on long sentences about who knows what (sometimes it's .....no...momma...no dadda...dog...no..momma...momma...no but you are SO serious the whole time you're doing it). Some of the words that you know are momma, dadda, dog, see it, no, ya, what's that, sit, thank you (dank yo), hello, woot woot, uh oh, bye, this, ball, book, truck, Gigi, Papa, stinky, eye, that, nose, ni-ni (night night), ow and I know there's more, but I just can't think of them all.

+ When you want to go someplace you will bring your shoes and say "bye, bye, bye". And when it's time for us to leave, we will say let's go bye and you will walk to the door and out into the garage.

+You carry your own backpack, but most of the time we are in a hurry and running late so momma does it for you.

+You got sick this month and are still struggling with bronchitis-y "stuff"

+You started this very, very, very annoying screaming bit when you want something or something doesn't go your way. It's EXTREMELY annoying and you actually get in trouble every time you do it, but you still do it.

+You've stopped hitting so much and while that's nice you picked up the screaming. You still hit on occasion, but it's significantly less than last month.

+You love to dance. Anytime you hear music you will start dancing and it's super super adorable. You also love your musical toys. You love to play on your drums and shake the musical toys around. You love when we sing songs and you clap or wave along.

+You love playing with balls. You shoot hoops, throw them (and play fetch with the dogs), kick them, it really doesn't matter.

+ You LOVE being outdoors and ask to go out constantly. You run to the door and will bang on the patio or the screen door. We go to the park and for a walk at least a few times a week and you have so much fun. Most of the time your friends come and it's a big time for you.

+You are NOT a fan of TV and that's okay with me. You will sit and watch about 5 minutes before you're bored on the TV, most of the time less. If we give you your iPhone (one of our old ones) you will watch closer to 10-15 minutes. It's nice that you're not interested and I think you will get stimulation other wise.

+You like to read when you want, but if we pick you up to read at bedtime you don't love it. I think you know what's ahead.

+You still love bath time and we work on our bath time flashcards with you. You really have picked up quite a few of them.

+You would rather play with the scentsy bars, lids to the pots and pans, the rice cooker or anything of the like more than any of your toys.

+You are still a great eater, but have stopped eating as much as before. I think part of it was because you weren't feel so red hot.

+You learned how to use a straw this month. We didn't know if you would ever learn this "skill", but you did and you LOVE to drink from momma and daddy's cups with straws. We bought you a couple cups that have straws too and you like them.

+You go to sleep around 7:30-8 every night and I have to wake you up around 5:30 on work days and you will wake up between 6:30 and 7 any other day. You still nap once, sometimes twice a day. The time varies from 1 hour to 2 hours. It just depends. Now that you are one, at daycare you have to nap on a mat. You have  done so well and I'm super proud of you.

+You are wearing size 4 diapers and are in 12, 12-18 and 18 month clothes. It really depends on the brand.

+You are mostly such a happy go lucky little guy. We love you more and more every day. You're super, super smart and it's so fun to watch you learn and grow all the time. Happy 13 months, baby man!

I'm also going to throw this out that I don't post nearly as much as I want to because I hate having to "watermark" my pictures. It takes SO long, but I also really don't want anyone stealing my pictures (most of which are of my baby).
