Edwards gives away a few tickets to some big events in Southern California. We've been to the 1st Annual Carrier Classic and Ryan went to the Rose Bowl in 2012. So right before Christmas Ryan sent me a text asking if my parents and I wanted to go to the Rose Bowl January 1st, that he had scored 6 tickets. I asked my parents and they said yes. So he kept 5 (even Dominick needed a ticket) and gave 1 away. Like I said before, Ryan has already been, but it was the first bowl game my parents or I (and obviously D) had ever attended. We didn't really care who won, but to experience it was what we were looking forward to.
The game started at 2:10, so we had planned on leaving around 10 AM. We actually made it out the door at 10:15 which is a HUGE win if you know Ryan and I at all...we are ALWAYS late. We were there around noon, but didn't get parked until around 1:30 and finally made it to the game shortly after kick off.
Many people commented on how they would never bring a baby to a football game, but let me be the first to say that Dominick was such a good baby and he LOVED it. He LOVED watching it live and on the jumbotron. We left at the 4th quarter, but he did great. He didn't mind the screaming fans, the "fireworks" and loud booms or all the chaos around him. It might have been sensory overload, but I was so proud of him. In my opinion, if you don't expose your babies to different places and scenarios then they'll never learn and you will definitely miss out. I was nervous about bringing him despite the fact that he did AMAZING at the MSU game, but he proved to me once again that you can in fact take a baby to a football game.
Here are a few pictures from our day

I'm not a football fan lol but I do like going to games, because it's such a fun people watching event lol
Bryan and I also agree that you need to expose your baby to lots of things. We take B everywhere we go (unless it's an adult only event, and we've only done that once). We feel that the sooner you expose to them things the more likely they will grow up with better manners in public places. It's also a good learning tool and helps them build creative and curious natures =)
We were going to bring munchkin to a Ducks game but didn't because Autzen is one of the loudest stadiums in the country. We're planned English on taking her in the fall with earplugs. I hoe she enjoys as much as Dominick did!
